St. Vincent

The main island in the chain, Kingstown is the nation’s capital, located on the southwest coast of the island. Here you can provision for your sail in the open air markets. On the Leeward Coast sits Wallilabou Bay. This small entry port is also the location of the opening scenes for the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean The Curse of the Black Pearl”. As you travel the Windward Coast of the island, you will see the new construction site for the international airport slated for completion in the next few years. The interior of the island houses numerous waterfalls  and La Soufriere Volcano. This is an active volcano accessible from several trails. The interior also boasts the Mesopotamia Valley, often referred to as St. Vincent’s “breadbasket”. This lush area contains farms cut into the sides of its sharp valleys producing fruits, vegetables, root crops and spices. St. Vincent is the perfect adventurer’s paradise.
